In 2004/5 the Lockerbie Manor Country Hotel underwent a lot of upgrading, especially in the public areas. The bar, reception, lounge, function room and restaurant are now of a 4 star standard and in keeping with what you would expect of a Manor House hotel. Some bedrooms have been upgraded, and each is individual in style and quality, from large 4 poster rooms to standard twin, double and family rooms.
The converted Manor House has much history attached, and before being transformed into a hotel, was the home of the Marquis of Queensberry, who formulated the “Queensberry” boxing rules in what is now the hotel’s restaurant.
