Kingsmills Hotel Inverness"The Kingsmills Hotel is now privately owned and is renowned as one the best hotels in Inverness."
The Kingsmills Hotel was originally a private residence built in 1786 for William Inglis later to become Provost of Inverness. The Hotel is situated 1 mile from the city centre and the River Ness which flows elegantly through the city. The house has been tastefully and yet practically extended over the years to open as a luxury Inverness hotel in 1947. The hotel was completely transformed in 2003, and now undernew ownership, plans are afoot to upgrade the hotel even more in 2009. The name commemorates a meal mill which stood in the grounds of our luxury Inverness hotel until the late 1950’s – licensing of which was granted by the crown alone until 1575 hence the “Kings” mills. The original house remains the “heart” of the present building with ornate ceilings and cornices. Our luxury Inverness hotel has now been returned to private hands, and is now focused on delivering the personal service for which the Kingsmills was originally esteemed. | | | | - Pets Allowed (On Request)
